Robert 'Bob' William Kerbs, Sr. 79, a long time resident, of Fremont Township and Adored husband of 61 years to Emily (Marie Herchenbach) passed away December 3rd, 2019. He was born on January 4th, 1940 in Chicago, IL. He and Emily were married in 1959 and started their life together in Little Rock, Ark., as Bob was stationed at the Little Rock Air Force Base. Bob was owner of H & K Aircraft Interiors, AAA Auto Trim and Kerbs Upholstery with over 60 years of putting fabric on airplanes, cars and furniture. He loved upholstering and always took great pride in his workmanship. With balance he also enjoyed golfing, tap dancing, and guitar playing. He leaves his Brother, Arthur F Kerbs Jr., three children Robert (Lynn), Scott, and Kim (John) DeWitt and 7 grandchildren, Kevin, Kacie, Tommy, Alyssa, William, Grant and Jake. Bob was proceeded in death by his mother Ann (Zersen) Kerbs and his father Arthur F. Kerbs, Sr. A gathering for remembrance and to celebrate Bob's wonderful life is planned for Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Kristan Funeral Home, 219 W. Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt. 45 on Rt. 176) Mundelein, IL from 1pm to 3pm.
